Out with my usual hunting buddy Monday evening. We share some land with deer hunters, and they reported that a hog was coming to one of their feeders morning and evening. We set up down wind just before sundown and waited. Just as it got dark, the porker showed. My buddy was using my AR-10 with a Photon 3.5X IR sight. We had a slight miscommunication. I said "The hog is in front of the feeder. Don't shoot the feeder!" He heard "Shoot!"
He actually waited until the hog had moved toward us a bit, but I wasn't expecting him to fire when he did. Still, he nailed the hog in the shoulder and down it went! It was a boar weighing 160 Lbs.
