Building a new coyote rifle

For some reason, my 223 only likes 40 grain bullets. Unfortunately, the last three coyotes haven't been impressed. Three solid hits (I could hear the thump) resulted in two getting up and running away. The third, I pumped three bullets into him to make sure he wasn't getting up. Odd thing was, we couldn't find any bullet holes...

Anyway, I figured since I was changing barrels, I might as well change calibers. I decided on 6.5 Grendel. Here's what imI building...

18 inch Satern barrel
San Tan tactical light upper
Aero precision 15 inch handguard
Adjustable gas block

Hopefully, this build will work out.

I'm loving my 6.5 Grendel! Six coyotes shot (80-325 yards), five dropped in their tracks and one ran 50-60 yards. Almost no recoil and shooting less than MOA with factory loads.
