The video covers the salient parts and y'all have seem Berger VLD-Hunting mayhem previously. This time there was a twist with a poorly place shot somewhere to the snout. I never really figured out where the bullet impacted or where it went. However, all the bones forward of the eyes were broken (left mandible in multiple places, right mandible, L and R premaxillas, L and R maxillas, L&R nasal bones) along with hard/soft palate damage, perforated tongue, partial tongue loss, and broken teeth.

The 2nd shot behind the shoulder passed between ribs, through the body, and exited through a rib on the opposite with a nickel-sized hole in the skin, but peeling back of the skin reveal a lot of tissue damage. Obviously, this wound produced considerable blood loss.

So much was the loss that the rump wound's entry about 8" forward on the hip did not reveal itself until the hog had been laid on that side for the better part of an hour. The exit wound was huge, just a tad smaller than a baseball when I pulled back the hide hanging over it. No closeup there as it had ruptured the bowel.

Lesson learned..."on the nose" is not an ideal sort of shot.

The blood pumping out of the side of the hog was awesome!

that was waaaay cool.

too bad about the jam. have you tried... a new bolt, adj gas block, different mag, different buffer, different spring, different bullets, have your oiled it, does it have too much oil, titanium firing pin, did you build it, would you like me to look at it?

The problem is the handloads, pure and simple. Factory ammo works fine.

Now That's Funny!!!!

That was actually fun to watch the rodeo but the blood was almost too much...like a bad movie..
How they can take that much is amazing.

I have taken a couple of hog that were very run down and had the lower jaw blown off, pretty sad, glad you got to finish him off. good video, love the blood

Ugly would on the snout. He was definitely pumping a LOT of blood. Good follow-ups .

Great video as always, I love the blood squirting!

Cool vid Brian, looked just like a mini bucking bull. Way to recover, these malfunctions are getting contagious.

Good video. Look at all that blood spray! Thanks for sharing Brian.

Wow. Excellent recovery from the non-chambered rounds.
First shot on your spinning bronco hog made me wonder if he would actually make it to the 8 count...
The second shot with the blood geyser was awesome and gave you a good and Dead hog. Congrats!

Wow blood pumping out like a fire hydrant. Good hog down!
