I have been hunting with this Speer TNT bullet loaded by American Eagle and so far, I would not say that it is pelt friendly even if it is a varmint round. I finally made a shot that didn't tear up the pelt.
The shot entered at the top of the nose, between the eyes, went through the skull and the metal detector indicated there were parts of the bullet in the neck. Given that nothing exited, there was only one little beauty mark on the pelt...but then again, I don't keep pelts.
