Marine Core coworker called me Sunday evening wanting to kill some stuff. Arrived on property about 8:00 pm. Threw out a couple pumpkins, and some fruity soured corn and went to check another feeder. Meanwhile he found a possum and raccoon to shoot..... Back to the baited area. We climbed in a big box blind on side of road facing plowed field with feeder at 75 yds. Windows on L and R look up and down the adjacent road. Pumpkin and corn under feeder and also about 1/4 mile down the road (good thermal view from stand). Started hand calling for predators. Shortly after a bobcat comes out of tree line on my friends side down the road about 250 yds down. We decide to stalk in. On the way some pigs came out another 100 yards down and scared off the cat. We stalked up to about 75 yards and my buddy dropped his first pig with a head shot and then quickly dropped another with a follow up shot in the rice. At that point I started shooting with IR laser. We might have gotten another one but he kept running. He was really hoping for the bobcat but all in all was a good night considering it was so last minute.
