In Oklahoma for the week. Was out here last month and the hay fields were about 6 feet tall, recently cut so I get a much better scan this time around.
Saw nothing the first night but last night I saw a huge sounder about a half mile away but they were acting squirrelly. About 50 hogs scattered over a couple of football fields and they were doing slow runs in random directions. A group of 8 eventually broke off and scurried in my direction but then randomly went another direction. Very odd.
Later, a lone boar made its way out of the woods not too far from me. Was able to get within 80 yards and made a decent shot with a 120 grain sst. Thought I missed as he tore out but did a great end over end after 30 yards.
Nice cutters, maybe 200#.

For an apparent head shot, he covered some turf afterwards. Nice kill.
