Hello everyone, Im from Alaska, this nations largest State :p

located in the North Star Borough, Fairbanks, North Pole ect.

Just got my Armasight Predator, Im hooked and saving up for a better unit already!

Im curious how well this thermal will perform this winter, they can be pretty harsh.

The average temp would be around -20F after December to January. Humidity will be very low also, we get very little snow but it never melts until late march.

Greetings to ya. Your biggest challenge with thermal will be the inability to see animals through glass, and the unit freezing up in the extremely cold air.

Welcome the predator is a great entry level unit and more than capable for hunting!

Now at -20 I do not know, I have use thermal in ice storms here in the low teens it worked great but that is the coldest we have had in Texas.
