A long Shot

Somewhere around 150 yds is normally the longest shot we take.
This pig was down wind and very large so we decide to take a chance on an
abnormally long shot of 180 yds. There was no upwind approach. The river is about 80 yds
behind where the hog is in the video. We managed to kill 2 more on this hunt but got no video
of the others. My B-I-L was trying a new bolt gun and Pulsar thermal so we did manage to get him a few shots.
The pig in the video measured 44" . The scale showed 260#

We are having trouble seeing more than one or two hogs per hunt.
I can't tell you when the last time we saw a sounder. We have no idea
what a sow looks like. All we see are lone boar cruisers. This big guy was on
3 different game cams.

My dads place rarely gets sounders as well. He regularly has 1-3 boars that show up on his cameras, usually at different times... But sounders are pretty rare. Any time I've ever heard of a "sounder" out there, it's 1 adult sow with a few piglets.
