The battery died on the DVR after about 30 seconds of recording this sounder. I was going to upload it, but it won't play, bc it says the file is corrupt. I don't know why unless it has to do with the battery dying. Anyone?

I found a sounder of about 8-10 hogs while walking a dirt road on a levy with ditches on both sides separating 2 pastures. There is a tree line along the ditch as well. A couple of the hogs were down in the pasture near the tree line. Most were in the ditch/trees/on the levy. I waited hoping they would walk into the pasture but no luck. Fortunately it was near a point where u could cross the ditch at a dirt road that runs along the other side of the pasture. Decided to take the levy and set up. It wasn't my best shooting. But managed to get all 5 adults I think. I had to stop and go around the ditch/trees and into the pasture side in the middle bc most of them ran into the pasture surprisingly. By the time I made it around they were farther out but managed to get 2 running away in the pasture. It was very hard to drag them all together without a buggy cart truck etc. that was my workout for the night for sure and my hands reek of hog even after lots of sanitizer, washing them multiple times with soap and a shower. Need to make/get a hog drag for sure. But it was a good night!

your battery dying is karma for calling me old!

you might see if you can find a file recovery utility to run on the chip. file probably wasn't closed properly with an end of file marker

Lol that wasn't the wind u heard, it was the swarm of mosquitos eating me!! Very humid night. Got to shooting them just before the fog rolled in, but took an hour or two to drag them together. This property is less than 20 miles from the coast.

Great hog killing there - and end of the fun part.
Looks like you had a rough workout dragging hogs by yourself to photograph...humidity and skeeters only make it more fun. lol...

Something I forgot to add... I had heard a pig squeal from about 400 yards away and tried calling them to me with sow hysteria on a Bluetooth speaker/iPhone for about 10 minutes prior to walking to that pasture. No luck on that.
Smallest one was a boar about 120 lbs. the rest were all a pretty decent size maybe 165-215..

It wasn't by himself, I think the skeeters were carrying Blakester and the hogs. Nice job man wish I could get that many on the ground with "wasn't my best shooting"

Lol and thanks. I used lawmans advice shooting the furthest of the 3 on the dirt road from me first allowing me a couple quick follow up shots on the other two that ran away from the hit hog/towards me. And the rest ran across the ditch/tree line and into the open field giving me some more shots at runners once I walked around the tree line to the open field.

That was a lot of work getting that photo set up. Way to thin the heard!
Ahh ya it took over 1.5 hours dragging em 15-30 yards at a time and stopping to rest a minute. Halfway through the process I started regretting the decision but got determined to finish "my workout" and get the pics
