Okay, I don't know what came over me at the last moment, but the idea popped into my mind that the conditions were great, I wasn't nervous, didn't want to try to track a runner, so why not do a head shot at 350 yards...at night with a thermal sight that uses and electronic reticle?

So the scope had the capability. Nothing wrong with the caliber. The shooter? Well, he needs some work...

Close!! If they would make a reticle with the mildot on it to have something to judge by instead of holding out in no where!?? BANG BANG!!

Pew! haha! 350 yards with a thermal scope on a coyote isn't an easy shot for the vast majority. Probably a lot closer than I woulda come

So close! But....well, you know the rest. I know how it feels for sure.

Ya gave it the ol' DJones try though... and succeeded in murdering some dirt !!! Nice effort though. A 'yote head ain't much of a target (size) at that distance.

LOL... and no EPA lead/soil gross contamination fines.

Hey, you can't kill anything if you don't shoot!

Still was a cool video shot.
I imagine that yote crapped big time - when your round went just over his ears !

That wasted bullet was the cheapest thing you had involved in that hunt.

So close....
