3 More Sows

After hunting all Wednesday night, I went out again on Thursday in hopes of driving off some marauding hogs that were doing a lot of damage to my new landowner's property. I think I needed a longer nap, LOL, as by the time I got on to hogs just before midnight, I was already exhausted and it showed in my shooting. Still, it was not an unproductive night with 3 hogs killed, but not the best job I have done. I got these picked up and deposited in the designated dump area and called it a night. Monday, I hope to be back out and checking properties...

Good video as usual! Good shooting to get 3. They cleared out in a hurry when the shooting started!

Pass the machete... Homie no like buzz-worms! (Shiver) Good trio shot dead. Get rested up, you'll be back in true form in no time.

Nice shooting. Great idea on the marker lights. Kudos.

I have been using these little lights for 3 years now. I find them particularly useful in high grass searches for multiple hogs. I usually get 3 or 4 uses out of each light before the batteries die. At roughly 40 cents each, it is cheaper to throw them away than to buy replacement batteries, LOL. They are small, light, and bright.

Interesting idea on the lights. Three hogs down is not at all bad in my book!

Keep After 'Em!

Just a question about the snake. How did you know he was there?

I heard him coming up the fence line. I sometimes hear animals along fence lines, rodents and armadillos, mostly. This sounded different. I backed off and went white light and started looking for the sound of the noise. He was apparently just hunting the fence line where the high grass was.

Just wondering if you picked him up on thermal or he started rattling.
