Hoped to get a twofer with this sow, but the piglets would not line up with her. My patience waned and I took her as a consolation prize. She was much larger than I expected, but exactly as dead as I expected.

Shut down another factory. That’s always a plus. Good Shooting!

I likes AB's Sugar Shack there. Fine job of laying off that factory's crew.

I did some looking at pictures from other sows I had cut open. I don't see the same sorts of contusions on the fetuses unless the sow was shot in the abdomen or pelvic areas. If the sow is shot in the forward parts, the fetuses are nice and pink or are the color of the their incoming pelage. So I am a bit stumped on the fetus contusions. Maybe blood overpressure due to striking the heart? I don't know. Seems a long way away for that sort of damage.

Dunno anything about the apparent damage to the fetuses, but nice job on taking out the sow.
Twofers are always a desirable bonus, but sometimes you just have to take what you can get.

    Good shot!

Don't forget the unknown. We've all seen the footage of a territorial spat over food, one hog will ram the gut of another with an upward thrust to try and establish dominance. M'be she was hit like that prior to her fatal encounter, and the fetuses were injured in that manner?
