What guns and loads are you using this year for hog hunting?

My list.
Main gun 16in *** 7.62x39 with 8M3, SST or any other soft points. Omega Suppressor.
18in *** 6.8 with 120sst or gold dot. Omega. I find the 7.62x39 and the 6.8 do about the same to 150-175 yards.
Tikka CTR 308 with 168amax. Harvester Suppressor. Very nasty normally they don’t budge.
Encore Pro Hunter 35 Whelen 200gr Remington Lane 458 Suppressor. For some reason they end up running a ways but a blind man can follow the blood trail.
Encore with 16in MGM 45acp Ty-Rant 45 with Atomic 250gr hp. Two at 80 and 87 yards. Under 20 yard run.
Glock 21 45 super Underwood 230xtp. 15 yard shot

The main gun I wanted to put to work is my Keechi Creek 77/44 with 300 XTP at 950-1020 depends on the load. No luck when I have it in my hands.

I have a Lone Wolf 460 barrel for my other 21 but have not done anything with it yet. I think the hard cast will do better than the 230xtp. The one hog I shot with it was under the his on the opposite side. 42 inch boar that I walked up on while checking feeders. Was able to keep him down but if I got in the shoulders may not have done so good. Thought about just using the Atomic 250s. Have not kept one in any of the 7 deer or two hogs I have shot with the Encore.

Nice! Never tried the xtps but they should do the trick as well. Thankfully haven’t had to use the Glock in the field but I’m sure it’ll be reliable if I need it. Was thinking of doing the conversion with my fnx as well. That gun is a shooter!
