We were actually in a field a few hundred yards north of where the crater rooting was discovered, following a trail of fresh rooting when 7 coyotes popped up and seemed surprised to see us. As you can see, I was busy with trying to get B roll when they appeared and so I was a bit behind the curve and almost missed the count. We managed to drop two of them...
