I shot hogs at this guy's place last month and then have been checking his place 3 nights a week since then and seen nothing...which is good. I did not hunt night before last and they hit him and he called yesterday morning to let me know. He thought maybe 4 or 5 hogs. He grossly underestimated the problem, I am sorry to say.
Wind, livestock, location of the house (that I was just to the right of) relative to the hogs made for unfavorable shooting, so I shot at those that were safe and the rest disappeared very quickly. I knew I had two down and after getting pics of the first one, I scanned to look for the second one and this hog trotted right by me, maybe 40 yards away. This, I did not expect, but I got him before he got too far away...
