So I was wondering if there was an extender machined that fit onto the screw cap for the battery compartment could you run 18650 batterys in your Zeus? I have the extended battery pack but really don't like all the cables and stuff so was just thinking an extension could easily be made but was wondering if I'm missing something and this could harm my scope?

I think the issue would be voltage. CR123's are 1.5 V. 18650's are 3.7. 4 CR123 would give you 6V whereas 2 18650's would give you 7.4V. I am pretty new to thermals but I am pretty sure this is right.

Cr123 are 3.7 volts that's not the issue at all I found out that the 18650 are just slightly too big around to fit into the housing. My armasight external battery pack uses them so I know they are safe to use.
