Sure if hes running slow I lead them half a hog length if they are running fast I lead them one hog length! For the 45/70 double that and add a half a hog length high for every 50 yards!

Sorry this was my attempt at humor sometimes I'm the only one who gets it lol. But in all seriousness will definitely try to explain at the meet. Need to practice so I can teach my daughter!

As a kid I was one of the last ones to get a shotgun, and everyone always hunted birds. Well I was not going to let that stop me so when we went bird shooting I used the 22. Got pretty good at it guess that's how I learned to lead. Problem is my mind just does it I do not think about it at all, so its hard for me to teach.
