Just used Rustoleum Camo paint. Put the tan coat on then used sponges to put on the green, brown, and rust colors. I hear Durocoat is much better but this will do.

I painted my 6.8 AR-15 and wrapped the scope in Camo yesterday. Much better than black and silver. Now I need to figure out how to make this my avatar from my IPad.:)

I think the key for our area is there won't be any hunting more than once per week. Mostly every couple of weeks.

It's very easy to give up most any rifle for a 6.8 SPC II AR-15. Unless you're hunting moose, elk, or brown bears it seems to me the 6.8 is the way to go in the lower 48.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Took it out today running some Federal XM68GD 90 gr pills and had a blast! Shot the Federal 90's and Hornady 110 HPBT's to the same zero today. Looking forward to the next couple of months to shoot some pigs!

AA2200 is terrific for any 6.8 round I've loaded from 82 gr CEB Raptor to 120 SST's. Great powder!

We've had very good luck with the Monarch Crown 12' deer feeder. They are out of Arlington and make great products. We have two of them and one has been running just about continuously for 2 and 1/2 years with no problems.

My buddy has had pretty good luck with his Moultrie. Not much luck with anything else though. Game cameras on the whole just are not made to stand up to the Texas environment.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and a Savage 93. Both terrific rifles and very accurate. Want to get a Ruger target pistol, shot one last year and really liked it.
