OK Hogs, 17Jun

Helping my Father in Law out this week in OK. Hot as heck and he said he hadn't been seeing too many hogs but knew they were coming out when it got dark.
Had just settled into the bunk house for the evening and got up to scan the front area. Saw two large groups of hogs and found the best angle of approach given the wind. Got up way to close on one group and commenced to firing. First shot was set up for a two-fer but it didn't happen. Got one smaller one on the run. Not is the video, after a group came back up out of the creek area, took a long range shot or two and managed to get another. First hog was a fatty, hadn't been missing too many meals.
Thought the first shot was about 75 yards but when I went out to pig drag in the morning, saw it was closer to 35 yards.

Sorry for the unedited video, I don't have access to all my computer stuff or decent internet out here.

Yeah, and to be honest, I don't hunt enough to make it look easy like some of you guys. Hopefully get a crack at them again tonight.

Ha! I think I probably hog hunt the least of anyone on this page that lives near hogs. Not for due to a lack of interest, but having a 7 month old and a 27 month old.
