Synchronized Sows Down

Ben mounted the Pulsar Core RXQ30V on a freacking .450 Bushmaster that he brought on our hunt last night. We got some 'through the scope' video of hogs with the core. That is the good news. The bad news is that they were in out and out high oats, appearing, partial views, disappearing, for both the Pulsar and the IR Hunter MKIII.

Two cool things happened during this hunt. First, we never left our elevated observation point in the back of the truck and the hogs eventually came right to us without any coaxing. Second, was how well the initial timed shots turned out.

The video is a bit longer, showing views from both scope, but I think you will enjoy the shot sequence.

FYI - there is a pretty graphic ballistic result image that may not be work or family-friendly.

Ben and I discussed it at some length. He felt he could have made the shot at 130-150 yards without much trouble, the biggest hindrance being the foliage blocking view. No doubt in open terrain, that distance would be extended. It is a 384 resolution scope with a fairly small lens. It will certainly work for larger targets at shorter distances, no problem. So for most weekend warrior hunters who get out a few times a year, this would probably be a great option without having to sell their souls to own thermal.

Outstanding! A little quicker on the f/u and piglet mist would've been doable. Great stuff there. The one sow's snout looked like "Predator".

Oh Yeah!
I think even the Russian judge would have to score that at least a 9.4, eh?

Thank you very much for showing the CoreRXQ video and trijicon video together. Amazing difference in technology for the cost.

I will be interested in the field reports when Apex XQ is launched. Hopefully it is the answer for a good basic unit.

What is learned on this forum is amazing. Thanks again.
