fortunately i’m naturally an understanding person, so i don’t have any problem being patient with those who can’t hunt. all i ask is that they try, and i can take it from there to make sure they have a confidence building experience that rewards them with memories of lifetime.

crappy equipment? no problem. we’ll overcome. don’t know basic rules of left person shoots the left hog(s)? so what? we’ll figure it out. can hit anything? no biggie. you forgot to take off the safety anyway. experience makes the best teacher so go ahead and shut the truck door as loud as you want, make as much movement with your shooting sticks as possible, and by all means stop whenever you want and let me walk ahead while you look through your scope at the hogs... in front of me.... that you can’t see anyway.

Two hits, WITH the blue reticle !!! Happyleujah!! Happyleujah!! Gotta love a willing to try soul. Nice hits!!

I just too old and grumpy to be that understanding. Glad it was you and not me! Sorry!

Excellent shooting also!!

Think of the fun !! "Bite 'im Fuzz!!!"

Just think how annoying it would have been if you were on a couple sounders that were really jittery. Way to help a noob out with a new adventure.

Good vids ... I can definitely understand the frustration from a few years of guiding!

I wish I did Dan. I like the camaraderie just as much as the hunt. I don't worry about hunting with Dr. Jones.

HJAHAHAH I can certainly relate.
Well done. What was the newbie waiting on the 2nd round?

he wasn't exactly a newbie. he's one of the guys who uses a diggy skope. i usually take them on good moon nights, but he swore his ir flashlight would put him on the hogs. first hogs he was on safety, but managed a shot after his took off. i'm actually sorta impressed he got the safety off and fired before i could turn to his hog and get off my second shot. perhaps he was so quick because he shot two feet behind it. oh well, at least he didn't hit the sprinkler.

he got a shot off of the second hog. stupid me said, i think hes hit high on the shoulder, low in the neck. where did you aim. he said same place, lol. maybe there are two bullets in the same hole.

remember when a bounty hunter told pale rider life was a little too quick for most trail bums who stop in lago. well the action on this hunt was just a little too quick for my buddy. if i missed that hog, i'm not sure how. he wasn't moving very fast when i caught up to him. i did hear an impact on the last shot, but didn't mark the spot well enough. maybe i'll check it later but a 6.8 in the rump isn't going to tear a leg off or anything.
