Sig Echo 1 Thermal Reflex Sight

Here is a brief video a put together showing the Echo 1's image in the field. It really does seem to compare well with my FLIR PS32 handheld thermal monocular, though the FLIR has a bit more contrast. As I switched back and forth between the two last night as the storm was rolling in and conditions were changing, it was often a toss up as to which one was providing the better image. Despite having more contrast, I found it interesting that the metal legs of the feeder disappeared from view earlier with the FLIR PS32 than with the Echo 1 as the rains started and the metal was cooled down to the point of thermal crossover (where the temp of the object view becomes the same as the ambient temp the object effectively disappears).
