Ghost Boar

Since rgilbert and myself don't like to admit when we make a bad shot, or miss altogether, we have a habit of claiming the hog in question was a zombie hog. Since you can't re-kill the undead that explains how they run off. I think I may have found another explanation, equally strange.

This is a boar who showed up at the trail camera a while back while I happened to be hunting a few feet away.

Here he is a few minutes later.

The image in the post isn't as good as on the computer but look at the bottom center of the photo. This might account for some of those missed shots.

Your new hog looks a lot bigger. Even if he is a ghost. That's the kind of stuff that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up when I am in the woods at night.

Casper may not be the one in the first photos but we've sent a lot of them to the light over the past few years.

He's a big boy judging from the pipe behind him. What to you mean WE miss. LOL I've done my share of missing.

MISS??? i at least have the gall to blame it on a jam.
It's kind of hard to blame it on a jam when the rifle actually fires, especially in front of witnesses. Now if no one is with me I guess I could claim the shot came from somewhere else, especially after I get my suppressor.
