Here's a bug for your ear. I spent six weeks in Kodiak (in the heart of winter). Everything was dead and brown... and was just about ready to move there. In spite of the constant rain I saw. OMG !!! It's a man's paradise.

Been in SE AK 5 or 6 times, I even took my wife up there for our honeymoon. Been to Anchorage a few times also, I really do love it up there. Also looking hard at central Oregon, thats where I was born.
