My advice is that if the rifle has been mounted with other scopes previously and everything worked well, then to try remounting the scope. Take it all apart and start over from scratch, paying attention that nothing gets in the way and that everything seats properly. Have more than one shooter test setup.
The crosshairs are so far left inside the scope because you are chasing the left POI. Most of the thermal scopes allow the crosshairs to move inside the scope for zeroing and hence will not remain in the exact center.
Why so far off? Several possibilities.
1. Scope improperly mounted.
A. Scope mount not on rail properly for some reason. (try remounting the scope, maybe in a different slot)
B. Scope not properly on its mount
i. Mount mismade
ii. Holes tapped wrong in scope (ATNs had this issue with original X-Sights)
2. Scope rail not aligned with barrel (or barrel not aligned with rail, same difference)
3. Scope is goobered-up.
4. Shooter has issues.
