8:15 am....looked out the window to see if my calves were around by the fence. Coyote was standing there eye balling the chicken coop, grabbed the old Ruger 22 from behind the porch door, quietly opened the door, 1 foot out and lined up and shot him in the chest...about 60 yds, fell over backwards. A dead dog is a good dog especially when they are in my yard!

Yea, I shoot them with a 6.8 and they run off, a 22 and they fall over...go figure.

Lots of folks forget... a .22 lr has killed MUCH small game over the centuries... a few people too.
