Despite me living here in Texas for almost 20 years I have never ventured inside Sam Houston National Forest. I was invited several times to go with some friends but always avoided hunting public lands due to running into wackos. Since I sold my wooded property in Splendora last year I have not hunted hogs since then and would like to get back into it. Anyone know the layouts and where the best spots to hunt hogs are in the SHNF or any other public lands nearby Houston area.
