Nice Boar in Lavaca County

Went hunting last friday , took off work at noon to check the cameras and feeders just to make sure all was working and then waited in the cabin till 6:30pm- it was plenty hot.
I was shooting a TC Contender 14" barrel,401 GNR #2 (445 SM necked to 40)- 285gr cast at 1700 fps. This boar came in at 7:30 pm ,shot at 60 yards thru shoulder and dropped at the shot. I dug the bullet out of the opposite side shoulder, expanded to .70 cal with a small piece that had sheared off, retained weight was 266 gr.
I taped him at 48" , I did not think he was that big

good size boar and must have just taken a bath. Cleanest pig I have seen
 
That is a SUS Hog! Anything over 250 gets you the coveted yellow banner, the one Deeejay is still chasing apparently.

Very nice boar there. I need to get down to my place in Lavaca County. I have not hunted it since deer season.
