New Pulsar Trail XQ38

Juuust unboxed a new pulsar trail xq38. Very satisfied initially. I will update this thread later with more info and video but my initial take is That I would definitely feel comfortable tryin to hit a car door handle at 150 yds with xq38.
Did very brief side by side with Reap-IR. Reap has wider field of view. Xq38 appears to have slightly more magnification (persons head appeared slightly larger in xq38 at 100 yds vs view through Reap). Menu is very easy to navigate. Haven't messed with the wifi etc.

Congrats on the new unit! I bought a Helion XP 38 last week and absolutely love it so far. The streaming to the phone feature is the coolest thing I've seen and done so far with thermal. So easy to take photo and shoot video then play it back quickly. You need to get down to Victoria when you get free and get on some pigs.

Got it sighted in about an inch high at 100 yds. Navigating the menu on it is really simple.

Took a friend/coworker/ Air Force vet out Saturday night to test the new scope. He shot a 16" suppressed 6.8 with trail Apex xq38. I shot the 12.5" 6.8 with Reap-ir. Didn't get to do the side by side comparison with video I originally wanted to do but he had a good time. We got on this group towards the end of the night after not seeing anything all night before that. Our approach was difficult bc we were stalking towards the highway with the very calm wind blowing towards them. Made a quick 200 yd stalk trying to position ourselves in a safe close shooting location and got busted. But fortunately they scurried off into a field/safer shooting direction. Only problem was that we were rushed to set up for our shots and didn't turn on the recorders. 6 confirmed kills with 1 or 2 more lost piglets in tall grass. I read that the trails have an auto record with recoil activation. Haven't checked to see if I got any video from the auto record feature and don't yet know how that works. Hopefully i can figure it out soon and find out/get some shooting footage uploaded, otherwise till next time :/

Surprisingly that sow taped out to about 180 if u pulled the tape all the way snug/tight. She was pregnant though and had a fat ass so maybe she weighed a little more lol.
