Yeah, I don't get the whole "go barefoot where snakes are" thing... and cringed a bit with seein' rigs/equipment beyond intended targets.

Heartbreaker morning. Stalked several fields and back and forth on a large Soil Conservation Service erosion control dam for 2 hours before the hogs finally showed up. Got tangled up in a rats nest of discarded, balled up barbed wire, then had trouble making it over a barbed wire fence in order to get close to the sounder that promptly turned around. I tried to parallel them to get a shot but was running out of property. I need more offhand work. This business of huffing and puffing across the country side and then making perfect shots like the Olympians do is something that apparently is missing from my education. After a protracted foot pursuit and search, then a later vehicle search, I could not find the hog.
