I had three of the ATN Thor scopes for almost three months the video explains my frustrations and observations. These are my opinions based on my experience in the field with all current major thermal scopes. I am not affiliated or paid by any thermal or night vision manufacture.

ATN has no micron or Hz rate listed on the box or manual, so I made a call to a person I know who worked for ATN and was told the core was a 24 micron 30 hz. ATN says its a 17 micron core so we will assume that is correct. So in the video where I say its a 24 micron core we will assume its a 17 micron. 100 micron, 24 micron, 17 micron, 12 micron 5 micron, it realy does not matter the image fals behind every other major 640 thermal scope I have used.

TLM,

Thanks for the video. I appreciate your honest product review.

I have 3 ATN products - a thermal handheld, a TICO clip-on, and a dedicated thermal unit.

The handheld is absolutely awesome, and I've never had a single issue with it. It is a fantastic piece of equipment.

I've got the dedicated thermal on a 300 Blk. It has served me well without any issues. The clarity is not on par with my Armasight units, but it works well.

The clip on froze one night on a hunt. It was still in the warranty period, so I sent it back. It took several months to get the unit back, but I received periodic updates from the service department on the status of the repair.

When trying to align the center axis of the clip on with a NF scope on one of my .308's, I called ATN's customer service to get the centerline height in mm so I could order the correct rail adapter. ATN's customer service was absolutely worthless. I was told to refer to the owner's manual to get the height, but the centerline height was not listed in the owner's manual. I was told they did not keep that information and that I would have to figure it out. I wrote a rather uncomplimentary review on Bass Pro's site. The review was listed for about a week before it magically disappeared.

If I spend several thousands of dollars on what is basically an expensive toy, I fully expect the manufacture to do everything they can to assist me should I have issues. ATN's customer service was completely inexcusable and as a result, I will not buy any more of their products. I'm not surprised they tried to threated and intimidate you into not giving a completely honest and open review of their products.

Thanks for the honest review not may of them get seen by the consumer!

My personal experience with ATN is if you like made in China products, will never use their tech help(horrible) and will never call terrible customer service then still please skip ATN in your product consideration.
