From what I've read the fast playback of video happens when the user turns off the Trail when it's in record mode. You need to make sure you stop recording before you turn off your Trail.

When the LRF is being used you range with the box [ ] shown in the large display and use the target reticle in the PIP to aim and shoot. The larger display does show continuous range measurements in this mode. True? Im pretty sure that's what you just said above :-)

Looking at your video the reticle remains in the PIP when the range finder is activated. It's a bummer it wont range on the full screen with the reticle. A continuous mode while showing the reticle in the PIP would be great if we cant see it in the full screen, but I guess thats next years model.

Brian, Do you "have" to push a button each time to get a range or is there a continuous mode?

Generally companies show their new products during the shot show. The 2018 Shot Show in Las Vegas Pulsar did not have a larger lens with a more magnification for its XP series on display. If one is in the works it wont be out until late next year and you would see it at the 2019 Shot Show.

How far would you estimate they were from you and what bullet are you shooting?

Dang it Brian and Wig! Would you stop bringing up such good points. I had my heart set on the trail 50 and now you guys made the low 1.6 native magnification an issue in my mind. Im now considering the 384 xq model because you know 1.6x and 2.5x is 56% more magnification.

Maybe, I like drawing pictures. Either way gets the job done. I appreciate you pointing out another way of sighting in the Radius. I think they work great and the next time I dial one in Im going to try what I learned today.

I can see I chose poor wording here :cool: What Im meant was the laser on the radius should not be aimed at the same spot on the target that your cross hairs are on.

I dont think the laser on the Radius is supposed to be pointed at your scope reticle. If your rifle scope is sighted in at 50 yards and you line up the Radius laser at 50yards think how far off the laser is going to be at 100 yards. Its designed to run parallel. Oh and btw I have two of them...

If the new Trail LRF's are the same way I guess I will be keeping my Radius LRF and look to buy a Hunter MKIII

Try doing what Wildflower mentioned. Turn the unit off when it's recording and see what happens.

I've been waiting for the XP50 LRF myself. Once it finally does come out I'm pretty sure I will be glad I waited. One thing that's still unclear is if the LRF will be on the reticle screen and will it have continuous scan mode? If not, I will begin looking for something else.
