New Pulsar Thermion Thermal Scopes for Summer 2019

I think the thing that intrigues me most about this product is that it looks like it could replace both my day scope and night scope. It would sure be nice to have "just one" that could be used both day and night. 1 caliber, 1 scope and 1 rifle. To walk in during deer season at 3 am; shoot a...

    Humor for the day!

When my first wife died, I became despondent, and I stopped seeing women for 14 years. But now that I'm out of prison, I can see woman again.

    Cold Weather Hogs Coming (GMOs)

Pigs are currently limited to warm weather latitudes because they lack the gene for converting fat to energy in cold weather. Thats why they get fat and have to be kept warm in snow country. But no longer. I just read an article about using the CRISPR gene splicing technique to implant that...

    PLEASE HELP THERMAL QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!

Me ,I think the Pulsar is "good enough". I don't see the need to spend more $. But it is true that the more you spend the better the technology is. The Armasight is a hog killing machine.

I'm in Avon Park. Corner of Highlands and Polk counties. My kids up in school in Gainesville so she should be better off. I'm home now. Doors all sand bagged in. No one has told us to evacuate. The weather channel has told the coastal counties to evacuate inland to places like Highlands county...

My continuing saga to prepare for this thing. Today I had to work 8-8. My boss gave me a placard to put in my windshield that should allow me to move through Police and Guard roadblocks-that's new this year. . and the stores were restocked last night . My wife was able to get out (against Drs...

It's not that we don't have any fuel in the county. At any one time 2-3 gas stations have (only premium) gas. By the time the single tanker truck leaves the gas is pretty much spoken for. I went out to a ranch I hunt on and filled up there-its good to have friends. But boards for boarding up...

    6.5 Grendel bullet Choice

I like the 120 gr Remington Core Loc bullets . And the 100 gr Nossler BTs. For factor ammo the 123gr Hornady SSTs. Which ever shoot best in your rifle.

    Armasight Core Upgrade Program

I have found that when a reasonable man gets what paid for he will probably tell only 2-3 people how pleased he is. But when he feels ripped off he will tell 20-30 people how displeased he is with that product. That's supposed to be the whole rationalisation behind forming a customer service...

Cooking a whole wild Hog....First timer here....

A "hog scalder". Interesting story. As I understand it, the modern porcelain bathtub started out as a metal tub that was commonly used to scald the hair off hogs. Workes very well. A couple hundred years ago some enterprising soul put porcelain around the metal and sold it to people...

    Tripods etc....

All I can add is that any kind of setup that requires you to sit is a bad idea. Sooner or later you are going to sit on something you don't want to . Fireants come to mind. :)

Need some opinions about my plans for NV instead of Thermal gear

Let me put it this way. 25 years ago in the 100 hr (1st Gulf) war there was a tank battle called "The Battle of 73 Eastings". It was fought in the dark. Both sides had night vision gear. The Americans had thermal also-and that made all the difference. The loss ratio was about 25,000:1 in favor...

    UPDATED: Pulsar CORE FXQ38

I've not yet seen one, but here's a thought. While thermal spotters that can double as a clip on sound good, all that weight and length out front can be a problem.. So why not use a red dot like the Tru Glo 2x42 as your rifle day optic. It's about 5.5 inches long and 6.5 oz heavy. That...

    UPDATED: Pulsar CORE FXQ38

I have a Konus 1.5x6x42 in a drawer somewhere. It probably would fit. Quick review of that scope. It weighed 24 oz, the magnification ring was gritty and the red dot was not at center of crosshairs. I'll look into like your idea of having a machine shop work on my Minox 1.8x8x32 all around...

    UPDATED: Pulsar CORE FXQ38

With respect, that Sightmark which you describe as a "larger scope" is just about the shortest/lightest day optic I can find that would be compatible with the adapters. Hopefully Pulsar will come out with an adapter that will fit something like a 2x7x32 day optic bell.
