UPDATE: So I finally received the Zeus back. Took 3 month but they shipped a different one to me. This one is definately new and came with all the papers and accessories. Direct shipped from their sales department. Looks and works perfect with an awesome picture.

Well, I'm not sure why it clears the boresight setting. I experimented with losing battery voltage while on from both the onboard and external battery I made and nothing changed. I had the dope in a folder in my email so getting the info took a little digging, but it was there.

Interesting. Well I have disconnected the extended battery without turning off the Zeus without having the onboard batteries installed. Maybe I'll experiment and see if that does it again and just avoid that. Thanks

If you get LiFePO4 batteries in the 18650 instead of the Li-ion, you wont need the step down converter. LiFePO's are only 3.3volts after a rest from charging. Two in series is just about perfect for the Zeus. Be sure to only use the LiFePO4 charger not the Li-ion charger which outputs at approx...
