On my way home from my epic hog killing journey, I stopped to visit my Daughter near Abilene. She told me that there was a sounder that has been coming around the house nightly so after dinner we went outside to look around. There wasn't much chance of seeing anything around the house because of the dense mesquites so I suggested we go down to the bottom pasture and see what was going on. On the way in, I saw that the neighbor who leases the bottom to grow sorgham hay had mowed around the field about 50 yds wide. BINGO!! There were hogs EVERYWHERE. They were spread out all the way around the field and filtering in and out of the standing hay. The first ones we were able to get set up on there was a large boar that my daughter wanted to take out first so that is where the video picks up. After that, my daughter was able to get her first kill with night vision but I had battery failure in my scope so I didn't get the video. She did a great job and put a round right in the head just under it's ear. The second half of the video is where I called some hogs from across the field and was able to get two. One made it into the standing hay and was found the next day.
