Zombie hogs real ones

For some folks WARNING GRAPHIC, might not want to have little ones in your lap while watching video. Also if you have the speakers up I'm using a bit of foul language.

As some of you know the wife & I were at the Lonestarboars get together & left early because of my back troubles, when we were almost to the house, the video is what we found waiting for us.
Luckily I had brought a few show & tell items with us & was able to dish out some immediate payback haha.
All my stuff was crammed in the back seat of the truck but luckily they were all loaded( usually are;)) the only trouble I had was ini mini mini moe trying to pick which one I was going to use.
I figured the 375 H&H would ring mommas ears to much so the open sighted Marlin 45-70 with handloaded 300gr Barnes TSX was chosen.
If you have the speakers up you can hear the coyotes yip-yapping, they were less than 50yds away down in the brush at the base of the stock tank. My thinking is they did the kill & the pigs stold it from them & that's why they were so close & pissed off.
She & I did a little blood trailing but my one flashlight died & she wasn't too keen on trampling thru the thick stuff & potentially running into the yotes either.
We get to the house & my young stray pup was going nuts smelling the blood on my boots & he wanted to go find the pigs NOW. I told him he could go help daddy at first light. he didn't sleep a wink, he LOVES to go find daddy's dead things, like to roll in em too:mad:.
I took him back to the last drop of blood on the one I hit twice & less than a minute he was sitting at the edge of the tank wagging his tail where she was floating.
Man I love that dog:). here he is with his prize.

This is the entry

This is the exit & the entry of the second shot.
I know they are a little far back but how she made it as far as she did ??? Pigs never cease to amaze me.

The other was easier to find with the buzzards, the yotes got ahold of her before they did, hit in the neck but missed the spine I'm guessing.
I pilled em up to hopefully get a shot at some of the yotes lastnight but been really sick & back wouldn't allow it.

Amazingly my back didn't bother me after this & I was pissed & wanted more blood & payback so I drug the fawn carcass around in the pasture to spread the scent hoping for a shot at some of the coyotes.
I jumped in one of my new setups, a 10' tripod set in the middle of 4 oak trees.
Grabbed a couple of my Texasboars sendero lights & the 30-06.
Never had any coyotes come out but this boar did.
He kept going back & forth between the two lights & behind one of the oaks.
I had enough & yanked the bigger of the 2 lights off the rail & moved it to where I'd have enough light before he got out of it, stood up took the shot @110 yds.
Rifle= Remington 700 30-06, Nikon 2.5x10x50 BDC recticle, 130gr Barnes TSX.
Tape was 41" so 210 estimated weight.

Wife and I were coming home last night from a BBQ get together with other hog hunting friends(our house is in the middle of a large ranch) halfway in we see these hogs eyeball deep into this fawn carcas. They paid little attention to the high beams & running truck, bloodlust i guess? Just so happened to be a fawn that got attacked about 2 weeks ago by what we assumed was coyotes. She had a big flap of skin ripped from her neck & right front leg but was doing fine other than that & she was showing improvement everyday when she showed up with momma to eat. The wife & I were pissed to say the least. Luckily at our hog hunting get together we had some show & tell goodies with us so I was able to dish out swift justice. I used an open sighted Marlin guide gun/big loop 45-70 hand loaded with 300gr Barnes TSX. First shot was a double, front sow got a lung shot, passed thru to second hog & hit her in the neck. Follow up shot was hit a little further back than I would have liked but both were fatal shots for both pigs. Wifey did not care for blood trailing in such thick brush late at night. Both were easily recovered next morning, 1 by buzzards & 1 by my trusty mutt that some jerk ditched on my road a few years back. I gave him the last blood drop I found & he ran right to her floating in my stock tank in less than a minute. Pup is full of his favorite treats sprawled out on HIS leather couch. RIP little fawn.

Good job. I think Dan recently showed a fawn that was being devoured by some hogs.

Way to go Eddy. I'd really like to get me a Guide Gun. Everyone needs at least on big bore in their arsenal. It was good to meet you and Mrs. Gein last weekend.
