I changed the settings where you should have to request getting emails now. Let me know if it continues.
Is that the descriptive name of some new cow breed??? I know they have gotten a little strange over the last few years, but sheesh...

It should be setup where you should have to chose it and not the other way around.

I have changed the notification settings so when you sign up you have to select the email notifications. I also tried to change it for those already signed up. If for some reason it does not work follow the link at the bottom of the email. "edit your contact preferences" I'm sorry for the extra emails.

The final trick was... deselecting "watching threads". It was (by default) "watching"... and I was getting email notifications when replies came in. Once I deselected that option... no more.
