I was trying to come up with something more original than the usual "howdy from Texas" so that's it. Anyway, I live in Central Texas, Temple/Belton area. Born and raised in SE Texas, traveled the world for Uncle Sam (Army) for 15+ years, ETS'd and gave the civilian life a go and been getting after it ever since. I've only hog hunted once before and it was a no-go. Didn't see a single hog over 2-3 nights of hunting. Lots of deer, no hogs and it wasn't deer season! I am coming off a good deer hunt in Alabama so I'm still stoked about that, but am going out tonight and hope I can drop some hogs.

Aside from that, I'm hoping to learn from you more experienced hawg hunters and contribute where I can when I have something worth saying.
