email me and I will send you the brochure.
how does the image in the patrol compare to the hunter?
My local dealer told me the patrol has a better lens on it than the hunter.
I'm curious, thanks.
I never noticed it being appreciably better. The Hunter has a sacrificial lens so that may introduce a small loss.
But I don't think most eyes could tell much of a difference.
I currently have both the IR Patrol M250 and the IR Hunter MKII on loan from ******************* (Thanks ********!) for evaluation on game surveys. I'll put a complete write-up in a different thread as I get more data but I can tell you that my eyes can not tell the difference between the image quality on the two. Both are pretty darn good and quite impressive for such a small objective lens (~19mm) and the picture is clear from edge to edge of the viewfinder. I currently only have through-the-tube cell phone quality photos and video but that should change soon.
With both units I have been able to detect animals in the 200+ yards range easily, even in the 80 and 90 degree temperatures of deep south Texas at night.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that there are several additional settings that I have yet to adjust with the IR Hunter MKII (that are not available on the IR Patrol M250 in my possession) that could allow for a better picture when looking at items farther away.
