Wallow Ambush

Our night started out the usual way with a little cooking at the hall and then we hit the road to go back to the nutgrass field for another go... We get close to the field and are just hanging out awhile giving the hogs time and ribbing each other a bit when the Covert 40 miles away behind my house starts sending pictures of an extremely aggravating herd of hogs that has been giving us fits for awhile. They never cooperate when we go to get em, but come in like clockwork when we can't hunt... anyway, we pull on down to this field and start trying to figure out how we're going to go about killing the hogs when a Tahoe pulls in, unloads a Ranger, and takes off riding through the field! Lucky for us plan B is a used oil wallow full of hogs 40 miles away lol The rest is easy, we make it there and get close easy enough and then manage to knock down a few of the pigs... it all came together when Cletus swung the gate on Gus though!

It's hard to tell in the pic Scram, but Gus is wearing headgear from djonescustomleatherworks, but he still managed to eat half the pigs before we got him out of there lol
