Never had a problem with the Trail recording video until the other night, but it skipped about 30 seconds on me for some reason. * Just recorded the quick deaths of a coon and armadillo with no issue though.

A family friend from church has a ranch a few miles down the road, and unlike us has been getting hit pretty badly by hogs. He agreed to let me start checking his place at night, and I found some of the culprits.

There were nine in the sounder, and when comparing the two I killed with the others I don't think that there is a single hog under 150bs. You can see my 37" plus rifle next to these sows for size estimation.

The first sow died quickly from arterial bleeding, but the second one kept absorbing the 120gr SSTs like a champ. I hit her eight times before I finally turned the camera off and let her collapse (probably another five seconds and she was anchored). She was far enough away that my headphones were coming back on in time to pick up the "....tttthhh whack!" with each connection.

I wish I could have done more, but as with cattle about...sometimes you have to let the hogs go for cow safety.

The friend is ecstatic about the results, and I am highly encouraged to return whenever I want.

    Sorry about the video quality.

Yeah, #2 sure soaked up some bullets.
She most likely would have gone down without the extra lead, but it show how tough they can be.

She kept squealing, so I kept pumping...

...that may apply to more than hog hunting, I don't know.

Good hogs ! You had to earn that second one! It’s crazy how much punishment they can take and keep going!

Solid tactics and shooting - good writeup as well.

Sooner version of the Biathlon...shoot a few round, run a hunnert yards, dodge a few cows, shoot again...
