***Total newb*** Pulsar Trail XQ30 vs XQ38

I'll keep this short. I'm very new to this forum, but I'd like some advice. I'm in the market for my 1st thermal to shoot hogs at my place in South Alabama. My budget is max $3k, but I think I've narrowed down my choices to the Pulsar trail XQ38 or the XQ30. I will not be doing any long range shooting, most shots will be under 200yds, and the majority of my hunting will be done while cruising the roads/checking patches after dark.

What are the main differences in the XQ38 and the XQ30? Is the clarity about the same between the two on a critter at 100-200 yds? I've tried to look around this forum and youtube for some clarification, but I haven't had any luck....

Is the XQ38 worth the extra $$$ for someone on a tight budget??

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I have a XQ38 and I'm very happy with it. I have used it every day the last 2 weeks. Hunting in Florida
