Talon and I sat and watched a field this evening for deer or hogs. Near sunset we noticed some does come running into the field acting a bit crazy. I Told Talon to watch close as I was sure there was a buck there we hadn’t spotted yet. Sure enough here he came, but he was a good bit out there yet. I tried grunting him to us and making a snort wheeze, he just wasn’t really interested. He turned towards the tree line, I grunted once more and he Stopped. I told Talon; it’s now or never ! He made a great 123 yards shot with our new .223 and dropped him right there!
