Lawdawg-professional snake handler! Baaaahhahhaaaa! If you would have let him lock on to your hand when you jerked it back you would have pulled him with it. Looked like a Bullsnake to me. Good hunt!

Good video but a little long winded. When shooting turkeys with a small caliber I always aim at where the neck meets the body. Small little spot for the vitals.

the floriduhs. our feeders are bled dry on feb 19 through mid april. really good for the hog hunting i just LOVE this time of year. i'm not a huge turkey fan, but honestly i thought it was illegal everywhere. at least in the states i've been GA, FL, SC, IN

Lol...I had to pause it like 3 times while my wife had to tell me a story, then show me her new bathroom mirror, answer a phone call.....

Awesome video!

Hunting turkey with a rifle in SC is a big no no, but it is cool to see that you can do it in TX. We can't bait turkey either.

Good video TLM, weather cold/rain stinks but successful in the end.
Agree with RS Dan, base of the neck on the bird seems to work best - too easy for the turkey to move its head while pulling the trigger.
Congrats.

Heck it's so draconian on bait here that if you hunt on a site that had bait on it within 10 days it's still no bueno! The lease got it's start as an Osceola Turkey lease only...no deer....hogs...nothing but turkeys so that still rings true to a lot of the members that place is like Fort Knox the day rifle season ends.

That first jake I was aiming base of neck I think the bullet hit a twig and deflected. Either that of I pulled a DJ but I'm sticking to the twig story!
