Well, despite the temps cooling off some during the course of the night, but the time the hogs came in, I had my shirt sleeves rolled up, hat off, boots off, and I was still just trying to stay cool.

There was good, but limited sign. A wallow and then a total of three pics of hogs from the previous two nights on the game camera indicated that the potential was there for a good night. The only problem was that the hogs came a 21:20 one night and 04:30 the next night. I sent my wife a text that I may not be home until after sun-up.

For the next 5 1/2 hours, I saw one deer and a couple of rabbits. Then something hog-like zipped across the trail that leads down to the feeder from the hill. I didn't think it was a deer, too short, but wasn't certain it was a hog either. I had my rifle up and ready for him when he busted out of the woods and came down to the feeder, but he was only the scout...

What will power to hold off on the shot and let it develop!

Big Mama sends out her least favorite son to scout the location and ends up taking an eternal nap Zzzzzz Karma can be such a B....

Nice video Brian. You have a lot more will power and patience than I do. Since you keep losing bullets in the body cavity, you need a metal detector or x-ray machine in you field kit.

Yeah, I really wanted to get this bullet and thought I had a shot at it, but I had torn up my hands doing outside work and needed the gloves to protect the wounds (something hdfireman impressed upon me a couple of years ago). My spare bag of gloves was gone. I am bummed.

Nice shot Brian!

Good info and good hogs down! I know sometimes the sounder will let small piglets run in and be the scouts but didn't know about the bigger scouts.

Good exhibition of patience, nice video.

I'd have shot that little son of a pigg....good job waiting!

Yep... no way I would have waited. Good drop and soon as that field is cut pew, pew, pew.... more down

Good shot and way to listen to your instinct. It was like you knew they would come.

Way to wait for the right shot. I would have pulled the trigger on the little guy, even with the feeder leg in the way. Thanks for the vid!
