Went hunting last weekend with my oldest daughter. We are sitting in the stand waiting on a buck for her, and she says, There's movement behind the trees and I think it's a large deer.
Looked through the bino's and it's a huge pig at 225yds.......waited, waited, waited, and the wind was 10mph and gusts up to 20 in a pastor except the small tree line between me and my quarry.....waited for an opening for proper shot placement.
Lost sight of him for 15 minutes and my daughter says, there he is in the open; I took careful aim and pulled the trigger. Anyway, Not sure where or if I shot him, but he ran behind the tree line onto the neighboring property and never recovered.
I've been replaying this over and over in my head which just makes me sick......mainly because I estimate by the way he lined up in my reticle to be 350 plus.
Guess, I'll never know for sure
