Had several days' worth of photos of a lone hog at one of my deer feeding sites. She was small, but I didn't want to deal with the results of letting her go.
I spent more time trying to get this hog than any other...and in the stinking middle of a hot streak as well. I needed a spatula to separate various parts of my anatomy after each movement in/out of where the site was.
Anyways, I took up a decent kneeling position at almost 80 yards...but armchair quarterbacking the video playback shows that the hog started moving again, and I was too zoned out to notice, so my first shot hit a bit far back from what I wanted. So I threw my cheap rest away and stood up for the second shot, scoring a hit to the front shoulder thus ending her run. The first hit was mortal however.
