Shot this big 8 point by NC standards with my 6.8 POF 7.25 barrel SBR with a suppressor. Hit him in middle on ribs with a Hornady factory load 110 gr BTHP match. DRT. Made it an amazing day!

That is a first I have seen a short barrel and the 110 HPBT. Nice work and just goes to show how versatile the 6.8 rounds is.

Wonder what kind of velocity your getting with that 110 and 7.5" barrel?

I have been think about that all day the box says 2550 with. 16" barrel. I was way surprised that the bullet did not pass through. That big buck dropped like a rock only moved once front leg went up. My thoughts are that the 110 Hornady BTHP match factory load must have hit his ribs and blew up. I took it to a processor so I could not tell in the beginning where I shot him he was not bleeding until he took his ride. It was a big rush. Hunting suppressed is way cool adding the SBR and it gets way fun. I am sure all the gun powder did not burn. I thought I would have to shot again. It is all about shot placement and the bullet.
