you know I just don't shoot a 223 anymore, I have a 556 build I put together for $499 then never shot it and the prices are so cheap now. I know a 223 will kill hogs but why use ii when there are so much better calibers for killing hogs. I saw the Colt LE versions for 799 and 899, of course they are facing bankruptcy again.

All of my RRA arms shoot better than their claim. I have two. One in 223 and the other in 458 socom. You can't go wrong with their product's. I have been killing a lot of hogs with the 223 catridge. My latest is a *** 12 1/2" build. I agree with Frank on caliber choice though. The 6.8 is a better choice for most people. It depends on the type of hunting you do and your skill level. If you hunt single hogs or an area where you are only going to get one shot and are confindent you can make head or neck shots the 223 is fine. If you are going to engage several targets then the 6.8 is better as it carries more knock down for body shots.

I say get both and use whatever one you feel like at the time.
