Had a new sounder appear on camera a few weeks ago, and only managed to kill a small boar out of the group so far. Put up a roll barrel and didn't think a lot of it as they have only taken the corn on the ground under it to this point. Anyways, I checked the pastures last night (for coyotes really as we're having our fall calves right now) and saw the sounder working the barrel over hard from a bit over 600 yards away. Made my stalk and managed to shoot two before they disappeared into the tall grass. They made a crop circle with the barrel in the hay meadow. Boar was only about 150, but had some decent cutters for his size. Sow was about 125.
